Woke up this morning determined to go for a movie. Hadnt watched a movie alone in since I moved to Bangalore so was totally kicked with the idea. Bummed around work till I made sure everybody had seen me, then quietly vanished for a very agreeable five hours.
Turned up at PVR just in time to catch Race. Made my way to the corner seat weighed down by a mountain of popcorn and a Pepsi and proceeded to make a complete nuisance of myself. I like most of the songs in Race so was very happy singing at the top of my impressive lungs, generously showering popcorn on all and sundry. Dunno why the lip locked couple next to me wasn’t appreciative of my considerable talent. They did come unglued a few times to throw me dirty looks.. but I'm made of sterner stuff :)
The movie was not bad... crazy CRAZY twists in the plot, absolutely inane heroines (with near identical names, costumes and hairstyles at ALL times!) and some oh puhleez stunt moments. Nothing to carry back or remember… except maybe a rather delectable Saif Ali Khan (yum yum!) But still had a great time. More so because there was nobody to grumble about missing the first part of the movie or staying back till the last of the credits had scrolled off the screen.
I do believe I have started a new tradition.Yay!
