" I so love Love", Chi announced grandly.
I grinned. It was not the first time I'd heard her spout such mindless tripe with perfect seriousness. I resisted the impulse to tell her so. She honestly believed in the beauty and magic of happily-ever-after, even though she had never even come close to seeing it for herself. Despite my constant (sadistic) efforts I could never erode that conviction, could never knock out her crutches of self- delusion. Chi was the sort that nose dived into love and crawled miserably out of the debris feeling like a celebrated martyr. And believe me, I say that with considerable pride and awe. Being such an optimist is no mean feat considering she has landed with mud on her face time and again. She's on auto pilot with no star or radar to tell her where she's going. But I'll always be around if her parachute fails to deploy.
Me, I'm more pragmatic. I dont need to be in love to feel elated. I'm perfectly happy by myself, watching movies alone while jobless idiots makeout noisily right next to me. I think I'm perfectly lovely company, and I dont have to be nice to myself.
"I absolutely adore this new guy who doesn't know I exist," Chi informed the ceiling fan as I burrowed under my blanket to block her out. "I keep checking my phone for his messages, though. Do you think I'm a nutcase?"
Yes I do, I wanted to tell her. But by God I'd kill to be in your shoes.

i have loved and I have lost but eh! I never really mined the heart breaks and the tears.
First, i couldnt understand anything in ur blog. Complicated english. :).But,was able to figure out that it had some good meaning in it.(wat we call as "guttans" in mallu). So read again.. and continued to other posts of ur's. Great style! Magnificient.! keep it rolling. "Dear god" is good. :).
